Location: Swallows Leisure Centre, Sittingbourne, Kent

Working Hours: Up to 10 hours per week (approx)

Salary: £13.85 Per Hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Swallows Leisure Centre, as we are looking to recruit Part Time Swimming Teachers to work 10 hours per week (approx) covering various shifts, Mon to Fri between 3.30pm- 7pm, Sat 8am - 11am and Sun 8am to 10am

As part of the Swale Leisure Trust, Swallows Leisure Centre is Located in the town centre of Sittingbourne, the whole family can enjoy three swimming pools as well as exciting water features such as the Interactive Pirate Ship, Flume, Waves, Inflatable Slide and Pool Inflatable. We also have a state of the art fitness suite kitted out with the latest equipment, two workout studios offering over 40 classes a week, a crèche and a cafe. Key purpose of role: 

In the role of the Swimming Teacher You will be involved working with a range of age groups who vary from age 3 up until adults. Each session will contain swimmers of mixed ability from beginners to advance.

You will be responsible for the safety and skill advancement of the pupils within your care.

Qualification level

We can only consider applicants who hold a professional swimming qualification level 1 or level 2.

It is desirable that you hold an NPLQ or National Rescue Award for Teachers and Coaches.

Experience level

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working teaching swimming within the leisure environment, the ability to set and achieve high standards of cleanliness and personal presentation as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. You should also have a good awareness of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
