Salary: up to £35,000 per annum + Fantastic Benefits
Location: Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Buckinghamshire
Hours: 40 per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Stoke Mandeville Stadium who are recruiting for a Services Manager.
Stoke Mandeville Stadium is the National Centre for Disability Sport and offers a unique set of facilities for our leading sportsmen and women alongside offering more traditional leisure centre activities to the local community. This leisure complex has become known as the ‘home of wheelchair sport’ and the ‘birthplace of the Paralympic Games’. Our aim is to become an inspirational sporting facility shared and enjoyed by both disabled and non-disabled sports men and women.
Overview of the role
As the Services Manager, You will lead the catering, hotel and bookings team in achieving the high standards of service and customer care at all times. You will be a part of the senior management team for the National Sports Centre with financial responsibility on Olympic Lodge, Food and Beverage and Event related income and costs.
Key components of this role include:
- Lead, direct and manage the catering, bookings and hotel departments.
- Ensure correct staffing levels are maintained in accordance with service requirements and the business plan through the management of staff rotas and business needs in relevant areas
- Work with the management team in the development of business plans and budgets
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene, site presentation and cleanliness are maintained at all times
- Ensure brand standards are maintained and promoted
- Ensure and maintain compliance with all relevant safety legislation and licencing
- Assist with QUEST accreditation for the site with responsibility on the F&B, Hotel and Event elements of the assessments
About You
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate previous services management experience gained within a Hospitality or Leisure Industry and the ability to engage, lead and motivate your team.
You will be able to demonstrate good financial awareness and experience to manage delivery of key budget lines in three department areas. As well as be confident to organise and manage large events and functions.
You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Qualification Level
- The Services manager should ideally hold relevant alcohol licencing qualifications and a hospitality qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
