A new & exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Media Relations Manager to join our team. You will support the delivery of the Media Relations strategy with a specific focus on communication of our corporate business activities. This involves the development and implementation of a creative and engaging media relations plan for the business that showcases our corporate strategy in action. You’ll work with internal stakeholders at all levels and externally with senior journalists and reporters.

What you’ll be responsible for:
Implement a media relations plan to promote and protect Asda’s delivery of its overall business objectives Manage and identify speaking and profile opportunities for the leadership team Sell relevant in stories to key business journalists Take responsibility for and develop relationships with key journalists. Provide out of hours and on call media relations support on a rota’d basis
About you:

You’ll have –
Proven experience of Corporate Communications delivery in a fast paced and demanding environment Proven ability to engage stakeholders across a variety of disciplines and levels Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong news sense A talent for building relationships both internally and with external stakeholders Ability to give creative direction
