Wakeboarding Supervisor

Holme Pierrepont Country Park, the home of the National Water Sports Centre has excellent water facilities, accommodation, a campsite, Outdoor Adventure Zone, Life Fitness Gym and marvellous nature trails for cycling and walking, it is a favourite destination for families, schools, corporate companies and individuals.

At the centre we are looking for a supervisor to join the team for the 2019 season. We have a new Wakeboarding activity opening in our wakepark. These are new facilities in our open lake. Wakeboarding is an exciting adrenaline rush of a sport that you can be a part of. The wakeboarding activity consists of the customer skiing on a board, across a track with ramps along the way. The customer will be holding on to the track above their head. Your responsibility will be to ensure this is done in a fun, adventurous but safety conscious way.

In the role your key responsibilities are:

• As part of a supervisory team to ensure the smooth running and effective day to day operation of the Cableway operations including the maintenance and recording of works.
• To provide an excellent standard of customer service and the management of quality standards throughout the facilities that comprise the NWSC
• To supervise team members whilst on duty including direct supervision, workload management, discipline and the recruitment.
• Ensuring that team members are deployed in a safe and effective manner within specific guidelines.
• To be an authoritive source of advice and guidance, both for customers and colleagues on services, policies and processes including complex queries
• Develop systems and processes to meet operational needs and to ensure the high quality of service delivery
• To contribute to income generation marketing and evaluation of activities
• To assist in the delivery of NWSC services in the Water and Events department

Experience that will help you in this role will include:

• Experience of operating and leading a water ski cableway or similar outdoor activity
• Experience and competence using IT and common business support packages including word processing and spreadsheets
• Experience of supervising/managing staff teams
• Experience of providing practical health and safety solutions
• Experience of till reconciliation
• Considerable instructor experience both with young people and adults.
