Background 

Are you lively, outgoing and a natural at engaging people? Are you confident when talking to people in the gym? Can you lead exercise classes and help people achieve their personal fitness goals? Then we want you to join our Fitness Coach team at Christ Church Sport. Our new Fitness Coach will be the face of Christ Church Sport in the gym and will be working on the front line with our students and members. 

The Role 

You will be responsible for engaging with our members to ensure that they have a first class exercise experience. You will be active in helping members develop their fitness programmes, you will lead group exercise sessions and classes and will ensure that our members are supported every step of the way. We aim to promote the benefits of physical activity to all levels of participant and have an extensive wellbeing programme to which our Fitness Coaches contribute.

The Person

The Fitness Coach will work under the direction of the Fitness and Wellbeing Manager to provide the ultimate in member experience to project a professional, welcoming and informing service to our students, visitors and staff in in the gym and in the exercise studios. 

The Fitness Coach will be required to hold relevant, industry standard fitness qualifications (such as from REPS or CIMSPA) and would preferably hold (or be studying for) a sport and exercise related degree. The successful applicant will be required to work regular weekend shifts in addition to morning and evening shifts as required. As an annualised hours contract, Fitness Coaches will work 20 hours per week during term time, and 10 hours per week during vacation periods..
