Salary:              circa £30k per annum pro rata

Location:          UAL: London College of Communication Elephant & Castle

Working hours:   37 hours per week annualised

Contract length: Fixed term to 30/06/2019

About the job

We are looking for an experienced bar manager who has an interested in a project to set up and run a Students' Union bar at the London College of Communication, part of the University of the Arts London. You will be working independently with responsibility for the performance and growth of our bar, venue and entertainment operations and recruiting and leading your own team. The position offers fantastic work life balance with core hours being Monday to Friday. So most weekends you will have free!

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

1. Responsible for the performance and development of bar and venue facilities including events and entertainment, to increasing usage and profitability
2. Financial reporting and managing budgets
3. To ensure results are delivered through exceptional customer service to the Union’s diverse membership and other users.
4. Manage bar team consisting of student staff, and external contractors
