Pub Tenancy - Northwich

Looking to run a pub?

Sitting close to the world-famous Anderton Boat Lift and with a correspondingly high tourist profile, the Stanley Arms offers its own moorings for boaters' use. Over the years, the pub has also become increasingly popular with locals, cyclists and boaters - the beer garden should be fully exploited as the 'best in show' locally and should be the jewel in the crown of this pub.

Business facilities

This handsome pub offers a comfortable lounge, decorated in an attractive manner that's sympathetic to its location and history. There's a more laidback character to the main bar, which is better suited for vertical drinking and is also dog-friendly. The Stanley Arms also offers a bright, airy conservatory and dining area. The superb food offer means that this is a real destination pub all year round, and the commercial kitchen can deliver up to 55 covers at full capacity. WiFi and Sky Sports are both available here, and the pub is also Cask Marque accredited. The pub is well supported by the local community, who come to enjoy the great food and cask ales, and to play darts and dominoes. The lovely lawned beer garden slopes down to the Trent and Mersey canal, offering picnic seating and plenty of space for children to run around. There's also a smoking solution and parking for 15 cars.

Accommodation

The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge. Punch will ensure that this accommodation is in good order.

About the local area

The pub is set right on the Trent and Mersey canal, even featuring its own moorings, which is a real bonus for those who arrive by water. Northwich Community Woodlands is nearby and the pub is a destination for walkers and cyclists, as well as daytrippers to the Boat Lift. , one of Cheshire's ancient 'wiches' or salt towns, is a blend of old and new. The county town of Chester is 40 minutes' drive away, and Northwich also has good road links to Manchester, Liverpool and Warrington. The town was named as one of the best places in the UK to live in a 2014 Sunday Times survey.
