Job Purpose:

  • To assist in the supply of sterile and/or disinfected medical devices to meet customer requirements.
  • To collect and make deliveries of medical devices by car or van. To regularly check that equipment is in good working order and that faults are reported immediately to the appropriate person
  • To maintain a clean and tidy working environment
  • To maintain accurate records / documentation in accordance with statutory and organizational policies and procedures
  • To identify stock issues as they arise and advise line manager when stocks need to be re-ordered
  • To participate in team meetings
  • To participate in rotational shift patterns to meet business requirements
  • To collect and make deliveries of medical devices by van/car
  • To ensure all tachograph records are maintained correctly
  • To receive and check delivery of medical devices from the customer
  • To input data to the Quality Management System
  • To participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Requirements for Post Educational:
    Required:

  • A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
  • Desirable:

  • Evidence of sterile services training Previous Knowledge, Skills and / or Experience
  • A full driving licence (either C1 or pre 1997 licence) * Applicants must hold a valid Driver CPC card
  • Experience of driving vehicles fitted with a digital tachograph * Have a digital tachograph card
  • Preferred:

  • Good communication skills.
