Golf Service Staff - Alexandria

We are looking for a Service Staff team member to assist with the Golf Service Operation at Loch Lomond Golf Club.  As part of the Golf Operations Department, the Service Staff work closely with Professional Shop Staff, Locker-room Attendants and Starters to ensure the delivery of exceptional service always.

The Service Staff are required to organise members and guests golf clubs, park cars, setup and clear the range, and organise the bag stores.  Service Staff must have a friendly and approachable personality.  We expect our Service Staff to lead by example always, communicate well with other departments in the business and, predominantly, work as a team.

Days / Hours of work:

  • Contract: 1st April -  31st October 2019
  • 7 days worked over 14 - every second weekend off (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Shift lengths vary depending on business and daylight (will be 12+ hour shifts during the height of the season – May - September)

The Role:

  • Providing 5+ star customer service always
  • Welcoming members and their guests to Loch Lomond Golf Club
  • Valet parking
  • Ensure members and guests' clubs are at the 1st tee in advance of their tee time
  • Coordinating and moving golf equipment and luggage around the site
  • Practice Area setup and clearing
  • Be proactive in managing the tee sheet and reporting any foreseeable issues to the Professional Staff
  • Provide handover

The Person must be:

  • For insurance purposes, candidates must be at least 25 years of age or over with a full, clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Polite, courteous and friendly to members and guests always
  • Motivated and determined to go above and beyond expectations
  • Excellent at organising tasks with an ability to prioritise time-sensitive assignments
  • Willing to study and learn who the members are
  • Creative and flexible - there may be occasions where you are asked to work late / additional days
  • Computer literate - MS Word, Outlook and Tee Time Management Systems - full training will be given on our Tee Time Management System
  • Working within the Golf Operations department, you will be required to work well as a team and on your own. 
  • This is a physical role which involves manual handling.
