Complex Manager - Accommodation and Guest Facilities - Dunoon

Hunters Quay Holiday Village is the largest holiday park in the Argyll Holidays portfolio.  The busy complex is the hub of the park, offering reception, leisure and pool facilities.  It's the first place our guests come to when they arrive and if they have any queries regarding their accommodation.  Our holiday accommodation comprises 57 luxury lodges, which are regularly refurbished and upgraded and 31 caravans, none older than 3 years old.  In addition the park hosts over 500 privately-owned units.

As part of our complex management team, your role will focus on the non-food areas of the Hunters Quay operation.

Responsibilities will include:-

  •     Supervising and co-ordinating our team of reception and housekeeping staff
  •      Proactively driving performance and developing the accommodation offering.
  •      Identifying key metrics and data from all relevant sources, including Revoo, Trip Advisor and internal allocation and maintenance records to set improvement and performance KPIs.
  •     Setting and maintaining standards across all holiday accommodation.
  •     Ensuring all areas of the complex run smoothly and stay focused on displaying a welcoming, professional and friendly manner for guests.
  •     Dealing with holiday guests, holiday home owners and suppliers.
  •     Overseeing staff rotas and monitoring wage budgets.
  •     Handling escalated queries and incidents in a calm and professional manner
  •     Being aware of occupancy rates and any promotions regarding accommodation sales and their impact on the housekeeping and reception teams.
  •     Reporting to and assisting the General Manager in operational, financial and budgetary matters.
  •     Act as Duty Manager when required for the smooth running of the business

Within your skill set you will readily demonstrate strong communication skills, particularly with guests and co-workers, and have a diplomatic and calm manner which can resolve any issues or emergencies in a level-headed manner.  Time management skills and a decisive nature are key attributes, as is the ability to prioritise and delegate where required whilst always having the customer experience in mind.
