Digital Marketing Assistant - Mid Sussex

Part time

OVERALL PURPOSE:

Support the development of digital marketing tools and methods to support the company’s mission statement and increase income and participation within our facilities.

Responsible to: Central Marketing Manager (CeMM)

Responsible for: N/A

Interdependencies: Digital Marketing Manager (DMM), Central Marketing Assistant (CMA)

Key Objectives:

  1. Support the development of our chosen social media platforms to be industry leading, suitable to our target markets and maximising engagement levels
  2. Support the central marketing team to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of digital marketing (primarily social) for continuous improvement 
  3. Support the central marketing team in maintaining our marketing staff’s knowledge and understanding of our digital marketing tools to maximise effectiveness
  4. Develop and maintain a content library for all products to support Group Promotion activities, the marketing team and the wider business
  5. Assist DMM to maintain our website to be industry leading
  6. Support Head of Customer Experience and sites to manage social and digital reviews

K.O.1

  1. Support sites to maximise social media engagement, lead generation and increase return on investment for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  2. Direct and support sites to review the impact of social promotions and to maximise engagement
  3. Work with the CeMM to produce and schedule a monthly social media content plan, with consideration of local and central posting, by the middle of the prior month
  4. Develop the YouTube channel with DMM to increase engagement
  5. Manage corporate Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook platforms
  6. Review platforms and key target groups/users to maximise target marketing  
  7. Sign off credit card spend for advertising on Business World and record spend for central review.
  8. Work with CeMM to develop social media for the company
  9. Work with CeMM to develop social strategy and implement outcomes
  10. Post site Facebook ads for Group Promotions each month.

K.O.2

  1. Support DMM to identify monthly KPIs to monitor and review impact and effectiveness against our mission and in driving income/participation for social media content and advertising both as a company and locally for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube
  2. Support DMM to generate action plans where KPIs fall below target levels.

K.O.3

  1. Work with the central marketing team to maintain relevant sections of the Marketing QMS Manual.
  2. Identify training requirements and implement solutions for all staff via webinars
  3. Support RMM in inducting new marketing employees in the digital marketing standards and tools we have available
  4. Keep up to date with the latest developments on our chosen platforms and share with the sites

K.O.4

  1. Manage and develop the L:\ image and video library for use on multiple platforms, reflecting our activities and products, conforming to brand standards
  2. Develop and maintain a library of generic content for all products for CMMs to use in local marketing
  3. Support CeMM and CMA with content to support Group Promotion activities as required
  4. Support sites for digital marketing queries
  5. Develop video and photography projects within the business working with Heads of Department as required

K.O.5

  1. Generate content for the website, and make content changes to ensure it is kept up to date and interactive
  2. Work with DMM to develop video content and ensure visual content is inspiring and motivating
  3. Maintain and continually strive to improve our SEO (search engine optimisation) with our digital agency
  4. Support DMM to maintain content for the CMS and add new users as required

K.O.6

  1. Work with sites and Head of Customer Experience to ensure Facebook reviews are being managed effectively
  2. Support sites with managing Google reviews
  3. Utilise our social media management platform to support this

CONTINUAL DEVELOPMENT

Places Leisure require individuals to identify and analyse their own training and development needs and to actively participate in the design of a development plan to meet these needs and the needs of the company.  This should be achieved through the appraisal process with your manager.
