The position is Full Time (40hrs per week) and involves:

  • providing our members with an excellent standard of service in all areas of Health &Fitness
  • You will be part of the senior team reporting directly to the General Manager. 
  • You’ll be leading a team of 4, as well as external studio instructors and personal trainers.  There is a strong emphasis on driving our existing personal training revenue alongside training and developing the existing team.  
  • You will be responsible for the performance, evaluation, and training and on-going development of the team as well as the day to day operational management of the fitness arena.
  • You will have full responsibility and accountability for all fitness programming services within the Club, covering the management, governance and active selling of major products and services: Personal Training and individual programming and Group Programming.
  • You will run all gym challenges and events, continually look for ways to develop the fitness timetable and have responsibility for all cleaning and maintenance issues.
  • You will be responsible for the continual improvement of site standards.
  • You will lead your team by example and motivate and develop them to reach their full potentials.
  • You will also be the role model for responsible and appropriate conduct for all team members.
  • Recruiting, training and supervising staff, including managing staff rotas
  • Handling complaints and incidents, e.g. accidents and emergencies or theft
  • Purchasing equipment and supplies
  • Writing monthly or weekly reports on the Gym services
  • As a member of the management team you will be required to understand and undertake duty management responsibilities for all site operations including opening and closing the facility
  • As part of a large onsite team you will be expected to work closely with all departments and team members to ensure consistency and professional delivery of services as a team

We are looking for candidates who:

  • are enthusiastic about providing high quality customer REP’s level 3 qualified
  • Experienced background in fitness / studio instructor / Gym management is essential
  • Strong team leadership and management skills is essential
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Individual must be well organized, an extremely good multi-tasker and meticulous
  • Excellent spoken and written English is essential
  • Good numerical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail when reporting
  • Excellent IT skills, with proven skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating ideas and strategies.
