Technical Manager - Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar

Full Time (39 hour’s p/w) | £25,000 per annum

InspireAll are a charity that have a reputation for delivering energising and motivating leisure and family support services across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire for communities to achieve rewarding and active lifestyles.

Wyllyotts is a very busy 420 seat multi-purpose venue with a strong dedicated management team.

We need a Technical Manager to oversee our busy film programme, amateur hires, one nighters, pantomime run and the occasional conference.

Reporting directly to the Theatre Manager you will rota and manage two Technicians and a team of casual technicians.

This key role will focus on the delivery of technical excellence to customers but will also include taking responsibility for health and safety within the facility. As a small team we welcome your input in to all aspects of the venue

The role will include additional responsibilities as required by the Theatre Manager consummate with your skills, experience and the needs of the business.

You will have at least two years previous technical experience in a live entertainment venue. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the relevant Health and Safety legislation and will hold at least one of the following qualifications:

• IOSH Managing Safely
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• ABTT Bronze Theatre Technician Award
• Diploma in Technical Theatre

This post includes shifts and weekend working and may sometimes involve working extra hours for which lieu time is given.
