    We have a fantastic opportunity for 2 Fleet Supervisors to join our team at our Eagle Brewery site in Bedford!

     

    TheRole

     

      Responsible for day to day management of activity necessary for all licence compliance, involving data analysis, monitoring and feedback Ensure all staff are trained in safe systems of work Conduct accident and near miss investigations, obtaining statements and photographic evidence where necessary and generating action plans as appropriate Responsible for general housekeeping and a safe working environment Be proactive in the management of all transport related health and safety issues and monitor equipment distribution and usage Manage sickness and absence levels and team holidays Individual consultations with drivers and employees to discuss service levels and performance Production and issue of daily management and KPI information, utilising tracking systems to support this task and constantly adapting to keep in line with legislation, balanced workloads and contractual agreements whilst working in line with targets Support out of hours requirements as needed and cover for the Fleet Manager when necessary Line management of administrative staff Responsibility for full compliance of the de-brief process including investigations into issues Allocation of daily operational resource and activity Ensure that supporting departments and shifts are equipped with the correct information to aid a compliant and safe working environment to maintain customers’ expectations and sustain satisfaction Carrying out vehicle audits to ensure H&S legislation and Operator’s Licence requirements are accorded

    The Ideal Candidate

      IT skills (including Microsoft Excel, Word, warehouse management systems) Understanding of health and safety legislation with knowledge of JSI followed by Marston’s Experience of working in a commercially challenging, results driven distribution environment Will have a strong work ethic and work towards achieving the company’s objectives Focused on improving working practices in order to maintain an efficient operation Have a proven track record in all aspects of dray work and is highly experienced within the industry Can evidently show that they have experience in managing and overcoming difficulties within their current role Able to work under own initiative Must have a minimum Class 2 Licence
