Job Summary

You will be responsible for supporting the monthly reporting, annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes across multiple international business units, as well as being the system support for Selina from a finance perspective and providing high-quality financial analysis to assist senior management in making effective decisions across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting operations of all the construction sites and locations in the country
  • Support Regional Controller to achieve Ebitda goals at locations, country and region levels
  • Support Country Controllers & location bookkeepers in their roles & responsibilities 
  • Add Task Force assignments at Country & location levels as needed
  • Add to Requirements the ability to travel to locations as needed
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Process country payroll in a timely manner
  • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are complete
  • Issue monthly financial statements for the country
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate quarter and annual report for the country
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Oversee compliable with local and state reporting requirements and tax filings for the country
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Finance & Accounting experience in the hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in the hotel industry is a must
  • Area/multi-unit controller experience a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting (accounts payable/general ledger, financial chart of accounts, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of and corporate procedures and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, etc.)
  • Fluent or capable of working in Spanish and English
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must have strong work ethics
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter
  • Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with employees in a professional manner
