Prezzo is a market leader in the casual dining sector with c.200 Italian restaurants across the UK. This is a very exciting time for Prezzo. Having successfully navigated their way past the CVA process over the Summer, the past 6 months have been action packed with enormous amounts of change occurring throughout the business. The Brand Communications, Value Proposition and the Food & Drink innovation have all been reviewed and upgraded, new vision, mission and values established, the merger of three offices into one main central London site and the overall way of working in how the business works as one team to name just a few things.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to be part of a fantastic business rejuvenation/turnaround and be known as being a major part of it. The role requires a keen understanding of and ability to critically appraise commercial propositions, customer behaviours, trading and revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a real problem-solving approach; with both an entrepreneurial and creative spirit. A genuine passion for food, drink and hospitality will help as this role will be a key player in what ends up being on the menu in 200 restaurants around the UK and the repositioning/roll out of the new concept currently being trialled.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Analytical Support
• Act as key analytical support to the Commercial team
o Developing a deep understanding of marketing activities to give clear direction on the group’s pricing strategy, margin improvement and spend growth objectives
o Feed commercial insights/marketing activity into the Commercial team and C-suite in order to test and learn on national programs, in line with the market opportunities
o Take real ownership of the analytics behind the new concept, providing frequent updates on what drives success
o Support, develop and feed into key items for the group’s marketing and promotions calendar
• Help Commercial think about ‘the bigger picture’ by driving the big pieces of analysis e.g. the products that we should focus our menu around, what our Valentine’s or summer promotions should be, etc.
• Work with Business Insights team to produce KPI dashboards to assess company performance

Commercial Reporting
• Act as key partner to the Finance team for commercial performance reporting and analysis
• Work with heads of departments to lead and review/propose new brand, menu, occasion and experience opportunities
• Work with Commercial and Financial control teams to produce the monthly board pack
• Work with IT/BI to understand and review existing BI landscape

Required Skills:

• IT Skills (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of SQL (Alteryx experience a bonus)
• Great experience of Excel (VBA, Solver a bonus)
• Elasticity modelling experience & understanding
• Forecasting experience
• Excellent planning & organisational skills and able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manipulate data effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including non-finance colleagues, and the ability to present to senior individuals
