Solution Design & Implementation Analyst – Asda Logistics Services – Leeds based with travel to Rochdale

toyou (Asda Parcel Services) is a rapidly growing and evolving business unit within ASDA Logistic Service. We manage the delivery of both click and collect and return services across our entire store estate. We handle over 12 million parcels each year and we are growing rapidly. We don’t just service ASDA’s Customers, we also have over a 100 big name retail brands. Our growth means we are looking for a candidate to help drive and shape our current and future success.

We are now looking for an experienced Technology Solution Design Manager to join the team who can demonstrate strengths in; business case preparation, requirement gathering, solution design, project management and implementation management. We have a roadmap of initiatives and projects that will provide enhanced services and tracking capability to maintain our market leading position. You will work within the toyou team utilising our expansive IT/technology capabilities at ASDA to deliver a number of these projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will come from an IT/technology delivery background. Systems include, WMS, website tracking, Store applications and Data-warehousing reporting suites.

Whether it’s working to scope and develop an innovative new service solution for our clients or working on business improvement projects to make us more efficient and lean, there will be plenty of opportunity to make a big difference.
What you’ll be responsible for:

You will be accountable for working within the toyou team to scope, design and deliver a range of initiatives and improvements within the toyou department.
You will:
• Research and investigate innovative opportunities and solutions to promote ‘best in class’ delivery services
• Engage with differing stakeholders to ensure that all opportunities for improvement and innovation are captured. (Including running workshops)
• Prioritise workload with senior stakeholders and support business case analysis
• Scope and prioritise work load through our agile delivery teams
• Ensure quality of output from our agile teams
• Work with business analysts to ensure that we build the right solution on larger technology projects delivered via waterfall methodology.
• Project manage delivery and implementation
• Manage website content and refresh programmes
• Support the client team with client visits to discuss and implement new service solutions
• Ensure robust implementation and user acceptance testing
About you:
• A background in IT / Technology delivery programs including agile and waterfall methodology
• A degree of technical proficiency and an ability to understand complex business problems/opportunities
• Previous experience with designing process flows and user experience diagrams
• Previous experience in project and implementation management
• Experience in ecommerce, retail and/or parcel delivery solutions would be advantageous
• Experienced in Manhattan Warehouse Management Solutions would be advantageous
• Experience of website design and website content publishing would be advantageous
• Forward thinking with the ability to make recommendations
• Self-motivated and analytical
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technological solution in simple terms to both clients and wider business stakeholders.
