Pay RatesCirca £23,000 per annum
Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours42.3 hours per week on an annualised hour’s basis – Day shift Starting 6am – working 5 shifts out of 7.
Job DescriptionThis role involves continuous accuracy checking of perpetual inventory stock for product control and accounting purposes. As an inventory auditor at our Distribution Centre in Kettering, your role will be to investigate discrepancies, locate error sources and initiate corrective actions.
Reporting to the Goods In Supervisor and Operational Team Leaders, you will be an enthusiastic, reliable individual who is able to work alone as well as in a team and take pride in your work. Initiative, problem solving and attention to detail are critical in the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure perpetual inventory checks have been carried out according to timescales
- Investigate any large stock discrepancies fully, and report finding to Finance Analyst
- Entering stock items in the system and allocating them to their respective divisions
- Download data from stock system onto excel spreadsheets for further analysis
- Maintaining AS400 stock system, making necessary adjustments to stock
- Complete all stock take administration including re-counting and investigating discrepancies
- Ensure stock rotation procedures are being adhered to and highlight any issues
- Carry out 100% checks on picked orders to ensure pick accuracy
- To investigate any stock shortages; may require working in all ‘zones’ of the warehouse for periods of time.
- To ensure all departments are kept informed of any events that may have a negative impact to the Supply Chain
- Generate various reports for further analysis
To be considered for this role applicants will also:
- Have excellent planning/organisational experience
- Demonstrate good analytical skills and pay particular attention to detail
- Show an excellent level of numerical skills
- Ability to make and take responsibility for day-to-day decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively with Manager’s and Team Leaders
- Adopt a “can do attitude” towards set tasks
- Be able to work in all zones for periods of time (ambient, chilled and frozen areas)
- Develop good customer relations
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
- Ensure high standards are achieved at all times
- Have a good attendance, time keeping and disciplinary record
