This is a full time permanent position based at Greggs House, Quorum Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Salary

£18,291 per annum. 

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

35 hours per week working Monday to Friday between the hours of 0900 - 1700

Job Description

  • Completing the end-to-end Payroll Administration Processing
  • Providing  a high level of customer service to internal customers
  • Carrying out all administration tasks for all Starters, Leavers, Maternity/Adoption/Paternity leave
  • Processing transfers, salary Increases/grade changes
  • Organising Tax code changes, Student Loans, Court Orders
  • Processing Leave of Absences, Dependency Leave, Bereavement leave, and Sickness
  • Sorting out One-off Payments and Cycle to Work Scheme payments
  • Organising interim and Third Party payments
  • Taking ownership and responding to queries in various Payroll mailboxes
  • Resolving Payslip Enquires
  • Dealing with HMRC Correspondence
  • Taking ownership of specific processes, maintaining documentation and leading training as required
  • Identifying and implementing process changes

  • Knowledge and experience of Payroll Processing
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Awareness of Statutory and Contractual Obligations
  • Knowledge of Pensions and Auto Enrolment
  • Awareness of specific deadlines
  • Understanding of Payroll Legislation
  • Understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality
  • Understanding of National Minimum Wage and Living Wage
  • Knowledge of Tax and National Insurance
  • Understanding of legislation attached to salary sacrifices
