Job Details

To assist in the supply of sterile and/or disinfected medical devices to meet customer requirements.
To mentor and support less experienced members of the team.

Requirements for Post
Educational
Required: A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
Desirable: Evidence of sterile services training
Previous Knowledge, Skills and / or Experience
Preferred: Good communication skills

Key Accountabilities

To regularly check that equipment is in good working order and that faults are reported immediately to the appropriate person.

To maintain a clean and tidy working environment

To check medical devices for damage, and take appropriate action to rectify any problems, escalating issues where necessary

To maintain accurate records / documentation in accordance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures

To dispose of all contaminated waste in accordance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures

To identify stock issues as they arise and advise line manager when stocks need to be re-ordered

To participate in team meetings

To disassemble / assemble / clean and pack medical devices for supply to customers

To participate in rotational shift patterns to meet business requirements

To receive and check delivery of medical devices from the customer

To provide training and support to less experienced colleagues

To input data to the Quality Management System

To participate in internal and external audits as required.
