About the role…

As the General Manager you will be energetic, approachable and cultured with a sense of fun; always curious to discover more and share thoughtful suggestions with our guests.

You will manage every part of this 64 bed hotel, including Twenty Princes Street & Juniper, which are ‘award-winning’ venues!! Twenty scooped the top award as 'Best New Restaurant in Scotland' at the recent Scottish Variety Awards 2014 and was also ‘Specially Commended for Food & Drink’ at the prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards; whilst Juniper, bagged the national ‘Rising Star Bar of the Year’ and also ‘Bar of the Year, Edinburgh & Lothians.

You will maintain close involvement in all operations, multi-skilling the team to ensure an efficient but effective business, as well as creating a fun atmosphere and ensuring a highly personalised and locally inspired guest experience. You will adopt a hands-on approach. You will establish clear performance goals for the team, provide regular feedback to them through coaching and support. You’ll be a leader who inspires the team by understanding their individual needs and working with them in an approachable way.

You will need to know how to place the brand at the centre of all communications, marketing initiatives and actions and use social media to connect with the neighbourhood and potential guests, using this channel to maximise revenue. You will also balance short-term actions and decisions with the longer-term impact on the business giving maximum return on investment for your owner’s equity.

About you…

The successful candidate will have previous branded hotel experience or luxury boutique hotel, preferably within an IHG managed property and with a proven pedigree of delivering in an F&B oriented hotel. In this senior management position you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day running of the hotel including Management development/engagement and motivation plus ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction are achieved. You will have strong management and leadership skills and a good eye for detail alongside a proven track record in driving high standards.
