Interim Finance Controllership Manager

As an Accountant within our Controllership team, you will combine your technical knowledge with communication, prioritisation and influencing skills to ensure that we maintain a strong control environment and support the Proposed Sainsburys-Asda Merger related activity.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Working on inputs into the documents required as part of the proposed Sainsbury’s-Asda merger

Working closely with external advisors and internal colleagues to help answer questions and summarize information for the long-form due diligence process, the Financial Position and Prospects process, working capital sensitivities and Historical Financial Information.

Helping to co-ordinate advisors & data verification Manage the interactions with other Controllership colleagues and ensure all data inputs are received and validated in a timely manner

Maintaining the library of data provided and triage data requests ensuring duplication is minimized

Providing regular status updates on all work-stream progress to the Group FC, Controllership Senior Managers and the broader project team

About you:

You’ll be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong academic background

You’ll possess great analytical, communication and judgement skills

You’ll have strong financial modelling and data management skills and the ability to work at pace
