Commercial Finance Manager – Asda Logistics Services

In ALS Finance we provide the commercial business partnering support to “Asda Logistics Services” (ALS). The ALS team run 39 operations across the UK and NI, with over 10k colleagues and are responsible for the distribution of 2bn cases and parcels to Asda’s multi-format and multi-channel customers.

We in the finance team pride ourselves on working in real partnership with our ALS customers and offer a great balance of support and challenge in making the big operational and strategic decisions across the function.

We are a fast paced team that can offer experience and development in all areas of business partnering. This role is based in Asda House, Leeds supporting a number of areas of new business development in the ALS arena.

What you’ll be responsible for:

This role is responsible for commercial finance support for a number of new business and development areas within ALS, including:
    ToYou in store click & collect service for 3rd party and George.com clientsLeveraging network capacity, including site strategic reviewCommercial warehouse space revenue generationEvery Day Low Cost Innovations development
Business Partnering and financial support to 3 ALS Senior Director customersCommercial interpretation of performance with accountability for monthly forecasting, month end outturn and inputs into the ALS Board, Ops Board and International Logistics forumsAbout you:

You’ll be fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) You’ll have strong commercial acumen and analytical capability with the ability to think and act strategicallyYou’ll have strong relationship building skills, balanced decision making and the ability to influence and challenge at a senior levelYou’ll be a simple and concise communicator and able to understand requirements of different audience groups and adapt accordinglyYou’ll have strong Excel skillsAn element of travel will be required but is flexible to suit
