What is the main purpose of the role?
Research and pro-actively convert new corporate opportunities in the South West, with a particular focus on residential conferences, day meetings and transient corporate accounts.
Conduct face to face and telesales appointments with a focus on converting all appointments to hotel show rounds.
Manage a defined set of existing local corporate accounts to ensure retention but also maximising on all revenue streams i.e. conferences, meetings, Christmas, social events and corporate transient rates.
Assist in the creation and implementation of a cohesive, ‘pro-active’ sales plan for the conference, events, corporate and local markets for Bristol, Gloucester and surrounding business districts.
Through your in-depth knowledge of the facilities, you will ensure the potential of the property is maximised and the monthly budget achieved.
The ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with a track record of sales achievement in the service, hospitality or a related industry. To be successful, you should have a thorough understanding of the channels to market to create revenue opportunities. In addition you will be well networked and aware of local, national and global trends in the industry.
You will have a high degree of commercial awareness and be able to understand the links between sales and profit. You'll also have excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial way of working in order to attract new clients.
