Customer Insight Planner – Marketing

Based at Asda House in Leeds

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Insight Planner to join our team! The Asda Customer Insight team play a key role in delivering strategic insight that both reveal opportunities and inspire customer focussed action across the business. As Customer Insight Planner, you will support the Customer Insight Manager to work in partnership with senior stakeholders across Customer and Marketing. Here you will ensure that the customer perspective is at the heart of key business decisions, through the scoping, creation and landing of commercially compelling insight.

Stakeholders will include Marketing Strategy, Creative, Marketing Operations, PR and Community.

What you’ll be responsible for:
Reporting to the Customer Insight Manager for Marketing Insight, you will support relevant Directors and leadership teams across Marketing on key customer and market issues and inspire action on behalf of the customer. You will:
  • Be the voice of the customer – understand our customers, what they say, what they do and ultimately how this impacts the department, Asda and business/team strategy
  • Be a key point of contact with relevant teams; build strong and productive relationships, understand their needs and priorities and identify the best way to fulfil these
  • Manage the regular reporting for Marketing and Trends insights and support delivery of performance updates to the business
  • Manage the ‘ASDA Pulse of the Nation’ customer panel alongside our agency partner
  • Combine our existing sources of data (brand and marketing measures, perception and experience tracking, market data) with additional qualitative and quantitative research, to understand the customer standpoint
  • Have the opportunity to deliver presentations to stakeholders
  • Be innovative in thought, exploring new insight methods, mixed methodologies and data visualisation techniques
  • Support in driving the use of customer insight across teams; drive and embed self-serve tools, & support on key strategic deliverables
  • About you:
    You’ll have -
  • A proven track record in a similar Insight/ Market Research role
  • A passion for driving customer led & action focused insight
  • A positive attitude & curiosity is key – a willingness to seek out new information to help drive the business forward
  • Project, stakeholder and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with a flexible approach
  • Some experience of working with customer research and/or marketing insight is preferred
  • Confidence in working with numerous data sources
