Active Luton is a charitable trust offering health, leisure, wellbeing, community outreach, training and education services to all sectors of Luton’s diverse population.  We’re much more than just sport!

We operate six health and leisure centres across the town including Inspire: Luton Sports Village with its 50m swimming pool and Olympic diving facilities, Lea Manor Recreation Centre, Lewsey Sports Park and Pool, Stockwood Park Athletics Centre, Stockwood Park Golf Centre and Hightown Community Sports and Arts Centre.  We also operate Dell Farm Education Centre – a unique day and residential education centre offering inspirational outdoor learning experiences for school children, set in 23 acres of land near Whipsnade Zoo.

About the job

Our Head Office Team based at Wigmore Hall near Luton airport is looking for a Digital Marketing Officer to join the busy Marketing and PR team.

The team is responsible for Active Luton’s website, very active social media channels and online and offline marketing, and PR initiatives for the charity’s diverse and award-winning interests from health and wellbeing programmes for people with long-term conditions to the outreach team working on community initiatives as well as supporting the marketing of our leisure centres to grow memberships.

The successful candidate will need to be a team player and have experience in digital and social media as well as working as an integral part of the team and willing to get involved in a variety of activities as required.

About you

Do you have a passion for digital and social media?  Are you a self-starter with initiative and creativity?

Are you also a good team player who’s willing to get involved?

Do you have experience of generating content for social media?  Do you have strong writing skills which you’d like to develop?

You will be educated to degree level and be familiar with Adobe Premier Pro and Falcon (or similar social media management tools).  Knowledge of Google Adwords (managing an AdGrant) and Google Anlaytics plus SEO skills are desirable.
