Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Bangor
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: up to £28,221 per annum + Fantastic Benefits
Location: Site Based with travel to other sites in the Northern Ireland.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Facilities Management team at Serco within the Leisure Services division who are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician for our Leisure Contract, located in Bangor.
Serco provides leisure services on behalf of community leisure trusts, local authorities, universities, and sporting associations such as Sport England. Our facilities include national sports complexes, outdoor activity venues, community leisure centres, gyms, swimming pools, water sports, tennis courts, golf courses, and conference centres.
Overview of the role
You will provide on a pre-planned, ad-hoc, breakdown and reactive basis, a professional and effective maintenance, service and repair function to the following system types as determined by the contract’s Management Team (for example, not exhaustive):
- Domestic water systems
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical systems
- Maintenance of Pool Plant Systems
- General Building Maintenance
You will also, provide the maintenance, service and repair function on both a hands-on and appointment & supervision of external sub-contractor’s basis.
About you
As the successful candidate you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in working as a craft based operative in the building services sector. A very strong background of working within a customer facing environment is a key requirement in this role.
Excellent administration skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Databases. Ability to prioritise workload, working logical and methodical.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with a good telephone manner.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds – Part No.1 – Certificate: Electrical Engineering Installation and Maintenance Craft Studies,
- City & Guilds – Part No.2 – Certificate: Electrical Engineering Installation and Maintenance Craft Studies,
- City & Guilds – Part No.3 – Certificate: Electrical Engineering Installation and Maintenance Craft Studies,
Or
- Ordinary National Certificate – Electrical and Electronic Light Current Engineering Studies or Electrical Heavy Current Engineering Studies
