Main role and objectives:
In your role as Food & Beverage Coordinator you will discuss and agree some key objectives with your Line Manager. These objectives will support the achievement of the overall department’s goals and corporate priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Complete administrative task, as set out by the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager. These administrative tasks can include (not an exhaustive list):
Use of the Adaco system for all purchasing requirements for Kitchen and Food & Beverage departments
Fourth People System administration for Kitchen and Food & Beverage departments
Maintenance of BEO administration
Ensure that required Meeting & Events set-up i.e. meeting signage is correct
Coordination of FAM trips (where required)
Continued review of social media and Medallia, creating actions to ensure continued improvement
To support in ensuring the health and safety compliance of the department is met and that the teams adhere to all policies and procedures relating to health and safety.
Support management in promoting a safe working environment by positively reinforcing health and safety, as well as food practices within the kitchen areas.
Foster good working relationships with both internal and external guests. A good working relations with external suppliers is key in ensuring the success of the Kitchen and Food & Beverage departments.
The Food & Beverage Coordinator role requires the ability to deliver promptly and work efficiently through requests, prioritizing where necessary.
The Food & Beverage Coordinator must be able to coordinate and communicate effectively with all levels of team members within the hotel and Company.
To maintain vigilance regarding possible fraud, theft and potential security risks.
To be fully conversant with all facilities and services at Park Plaza London Waterloo.
To project a positive and professional image as all times.
Support investigation into guest comments/complaints and ensure appropriate follow-up is achieved.
To ensure that appropriate steps are taken to create a pro-security culture within the hotel and ensure that you remain pro-active in your attitude towards your duties. In public areas and guest rooms you are an ambassador of the hotel and will act in a manner that is both polite and professional in any situation.
Attend any internal/external meetings when required to do so and ensure that ‘feedback’ and information vital to operations is communicated with the Head Chef/Food & Beverage Manager and the team where appropriate.
Assist with any emergency and evacuation procedures in line with the hotel/department emergency plans.
Be aware and follow all Company health and safety requirements consistently. Ensure all team members adhere to all health and safety policies in place with the Head Chef/Food & Beverage Manager being informed of any concerns there may be.
