The Role

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and creative Assistant Club Manager for Greenwich.

You must have the experience, energy and enthusiasm to assist in the management of day-to-day operations of a busy Health Club plus a proven track record in the fitness or retail industries. You will be responsible for assisting the Club Manager in the general running of all aspects of the club with specific emphasis on the sale of new memberships, ensuring all members are having a high quality experience, management of staff and contractors plus health and safety requirements.

This is a part-time position with scope for further development into a full time role as the business grows.

This role will include the following:

  • Sales Management - driving sales through local community and corporate outreach
  • Assist in Marketing Management to drive membership growth
  • Management of Personal Trainers
  • Management of the Group Fitness timetable and invoices
  • Maintaining gym standards (cleanliness, maintenance etc)
  • Administration
  • Social media and club management reporting

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • A successful background in sales with a strong track record is preferred
  • Outstanding customer service and people skills
  • Strong organizational skills, managing and prioritising tasks
  • Fast learner and able to take initiative on new projects
  • Proactive and confident working as part of a team to support the Club Manager in delivering on KPIs
  • Good problem solving skills and have a strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicating clearly and articulately
  • Genuine interest and passion with the fitness industry, growing trends and influencers
  • Self-driven with a positive attitude, flexible nature and a clear focus on delivering a first class member experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in health (Level 3 REPS Certification), business or commerce or strong business acumen will be highly regarded but not essential
  • First Aid Certificate
