Groundsperson - Harrow School
An opportunity has arisen for a Groundsperson to join our fully comprehensive in-house Estates Team who oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the School’s historic estate.
The School has extensive high-class sports facilities including cricket, rugby and football pitches, an athletics track, tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course and two newly re-laid AstroTurf pitches. There are also areas of woodland, farmland, a lake set in a Capability Brown listed landscape and undeveloped ground, including public rights of way, which need to be managed.
The Harrow School Estates Team prides itself on providing the highest standard and quality of workmanship across its estate. We are seeking a proactive individual who is keen to take on this opportunity and develop in all areas of groundsmanship.
Candidates should hold a NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf qualification (or equivalent), have working knowledge of natural and synthetic sports surfaces and the ability to operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, be able to work outdoors in all weathers and able to work unsupervised.
