Physiotherapist - RNIB Sunshine House School

Hours: 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Salary: £32,285- £44,565 per annum pro rata (Inc. London weighting)

Location: Northwood

Contract Type: Permanent

This is a unique opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist to join our school team supporting visually impaired pupils who have a range of physical needs, aged from 3 to 14.  You will join a friendly, supportive and dynamic team of class teachers, staff and other therapists who work closely together to offer a multi-professional approach to learning and education at RNIB Sunshine House School.

The successful candidate will need to assess and meet the physiotherapy needs of the pupils at the school so that they have the potential to develop physically and access as wide a range of learning and leisure opportunities as possible.  The work would consist of assessments, delivery of treatment sessions, equipment provision and training for school staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist who has a passion for working with children with special needs and thrives in a multi-professional environment. Rounded general physiotherapist experience is essential and specialist skills in paediatrics and/or special needs would be beneficial for this post. A strong ability to compliment and work alongside specialists from other disciplines is also important in this special school setting.

In addition to having a physiotherapy degree and post qualification experience, you will need to have excellent communication skills including a proven ability to operate information technology and appropriate software applications.

In exchange we offer a competitive salary, a stimulating and supportive working environment and a benefits package including:

  • 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), which increase with service
  • Excellent pension schemes
