Senior Manager - Anti-Trust & GSCOP

Based at Asda House in Leeds

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to join the Regulatory Compliance team. This role is high profile and cuts across all areas of our business. You’ll work within a fast paced retail environment to enhance Asda’s Anti-Trust and GSCOP compliance programme (both within Asda and our Produce subsidiary) while acting as the Subject Matter Expert for both areas. While day to day legal advice responsibilities sit separately from Compliance, you will be working with stakeholders around the business to deliver a world class compliance programme.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Leadership – Further develop and implement the programme for Anti-Trust and GSCOP

Act as a business partner to deliver compliance to key functions including Trading, Finance, Marketing, Logistics, Retail Operations, Supply & Asda Brand

Conduct risk assessments

Lead market efforts for enhancement of the Anti-Trust and GSCOP policies, processes, training and communications

Support in providing representation to national and local regulatory agencies and external organisations on Anti-Trust & GSCOP

Line management & development of a direct report – GSCOP Manager

About you:

You’ll have a proven track record in commercial, corporate and/ or regulatory law and have the ability to navigate effectively between regulatory & business requirements/objectives
With knowledge & experience in GSCOP compliance and/ or competition law, you will possess a Law degree or be a qualified Solicitor
You should have in-house experience and an ability to work at pace – you’ll have a track record in implementation & delivery
You’ll have strong leadership skills & emotional intelligence with a focus on building working relationships and a network across the business
