We are looking for a Contract Technical Manager based at our in our River Park Leisure Centre in Winchester. You will also be responsible for Meadowside Leisure Centre in Whiteley. Facilities include a gym, sports hall, swimming pool, squash courts, classes, swim lessons, soft play and much more.

What your role will be

As our Contract Technical Manager (CTM) you will have a hands on role in the implementation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works programme, in relation to all mechanical, electrical services and building fabric issues.

Alongside and with the wider technical team you will identify and correct any ad hoc remedial work whilst also liaising with 3rd party contractors. You will implement through routine maintenance procedures the Company’s Technical, Health & Safety and Environmental Policies ensuring the efficient utilisation year on year of energy consumption.

A driving license is required as you will also be covering the Meadowside Leisure Centre in Whiteley. You will be expected to be contactable 24/7 on a rota basis with other team members for emergency call out issues and be a nominated key holder.  The working hours can be discussed fully at interview – and will include evenings, weekends, and occasionally overnight for scheduled works.

Your background

In order to be successful in this role you will have a multi-trade background or previous experience in a similar role.  Experience of working with contractors, from negotiating scope of works and project management. Ideally you will have a background of working to corporate policies and be able to produce basic reports showing progress on scheduled works.  

It would be beneficial if candidates were qualified to ONC or City & Guilds in either Electrical or Heating & Ventilation Services; although this is not essential. Furthermore, it would be advantageous for you to hold a Pool Plant Operators Certificate, however full training can be provided.
