Sport Operations and Business Manager - Bishop Burton College

Centre for Sport & Fitness

Full Time, Permanent | Circa £26,000 to £31,000 per annum

Bishop Burton College is one of the leading land-based Colleges in the UK with strong and sustained growth in learner numbers.  We have undergone a multi million pound campus development programme including significant investment in state of the art teaching and learning facilities, sports facilities, a commercially run farm and an international standard equestrian facility at our campus near Beverley in East Yorkshire.

This is a very exciting time for Sport at Bishop Burton College and Riseholme College, operationally and commercially. You will review our operation practices to ensure that both sites stay safe, clean and staffed. Using this as a solid foundation, alongside developing new administration procedures, you will also build our commercial membership base and increase facility hire. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering other business opportunities with current and new partners and customers. You will use your skills, knowledge and experience to ensure that our vision is achieved and commercial opportunities are maximised.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, or with a minimum of 5 years managerial experience in a busy sports, leisure or business environment; you will hold a first aid qualification, or be willing to work towards this once appointed. You will be organised and be able to work on your own initiative, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced manager, who can lead and motivate a team and who isn’t afraid to get stuck in!

Closing date: Sunday 25th November 2018

Interview date: Friday 7th December 2018
