Our Maritime People team manage the training and career development for our Maritime teams onboard our fleet of cruise ships, and we are looking for an experienced coordinator to join us! This role will be supporting training coordination, work alongside Careers Managers to deliver a high standard of people management and to drive new initiatives for the Maritime People function. About the role

The Maritime People Management team is accountable for the Maritime Officers and Crew on board our Cruise ships. The team manage the budget, write training specifications, provide career guidance and line manage Safety Trainers and Cadet Officers. This role will support the Training, cadet and Careers Managers to ensure a high standard of people management but also to drive mini projects and initiatives.

The successful candidate will support all activities in the Maritime People Management team which includes Career Management, Maritime training, Health Environment Safety and Security training, our learning management system, Cadet management and general people management related activities. They will be responding to seafarer questions, organising events, running small projects and coordinating support from People services. We will be expecting them to effectively plan and prioritise their workload in line with Maritime People Management team purpose, our corporate goals and values. The role will play a vital role in ensuring that Maritime seafarers feel supported and are therefore engaged.

About You

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working as a Coordinator in marine environment.

  • Background in shipping, and preferably the cruise industry

  • Great communication skills, able to communicate with all levels

  • Excellent organisation skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Committed to  personal high performance and quality of work
