Pay Rates

Rate of Pay £9.88 per Hour

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

Hours 40

Shifts 40 Hours per week over 7 days, Shift Patterns TBC

Job Description

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the team and processes
  • Ensure all ingredients and products are picked accurately and all paperwork and procedures are completed in line with requirements
  • Ensure goods are despatched and delivered to the shops at the time required to meet service levels
  • Follow all process control systems including food safety and health and safety
  • Maintain strict hygiene standards through clean as you go
  • Monitor the team’s performance against key targets
  • Carry out basic training/coaching with team members e.g. new equipment, new procedures
  • Contribute to the PDR process with team members
  • Ensure manning levels for own area are adhered to
  • Discuss opportunities for improving efficiencies with Supervisor
  • Attend and contribute in weekly meetings with your team

Skills

  • Bakery experience
  • Ability to work in freezer, chilled and ambient areas essential, with long periods of standing, with lifting and carrying
  • Flexibility – willing to work the shift patterns required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good planning, organising and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence team and line manager
  • Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
  • Enthusiastic and results driven
  • Knowledge and experience of despatch systems preferred
