We’re looking for Sales Development Executive’s to join Marston’s Beer Company’s National sales division, to support and develop our growing field sales team.

As a business we are focused on nurturing our talented National Field Sales team– after all, it’s our people who help to set us apart from our competitors. You’ll be coached and developed to release your full potential in a sales environment, focusing on our brilliant beer brands within Leased, Tenanted and Managed Retail.

As a member of the team you will be given clear direction and support on delivering against set objectives and KPI’s within a fun and educational environment.

This role will cover a set geographical area which will involve travel within the UK.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Responsibility for growing beer volume sold across given territory
• Network with the key influencers in the territory and key route to market colleagues
• To manage and protect existing stockists and identify opportunities for new volume opportunities
• Achieve preferred partner status with key outlets by developing tailored solutions to meet consumer needs and establishing expert status through advice on the beer category
• To identify and win new and suitable outlets within your territory where our brands may not currently have any presence
• Effectively plan and manage the working day to ensure coverage is achieved at key trading times. This will involve evening work and a requirement to live in the territory
• To keep pace with a constantly changing marketplace and anticipate market trends, competitive threats and commercial opportunities within the area

The ideal candidate will:

• Be committed to development and have a desire to progress
• Have passion and tenacity to achieve results
• Have good presentation and communication skills 
• Be able to demonstrate excellent financial acumen and strong commercial awareness
• Be self-motivated and self-disciplined with excellent selling skills
• Be able to "dream big” and think analytically 
• Have excellent influencing, negotiation and time management skills 
• Have strong IT skills
• Have full driving licence
• Be of graduate calibre
