To ensure the smooth operation of the Leisure Club and to drive leisure membership sales and achieve individual and club sales targets. SCOPE / BUSINESS CONTEXT
  • A position based at the Liverpool City Centre Marriott Hotel.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience:
  • Recognised qualification in Leisure Studies.
  • Pool Lifeguard (desirable)
  • Pool Plan Operators (desirable)
  • Gym Instructors Qualification
  • Previous experience within a similar role would be preferredSkills and Knowledge
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Innovative
  • Pro-active and reliable
  • Good administration skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to priorities work load
  • Good personal presentation
  • Able to work alone and within a teamEducation or Certification
  • Good level of English essential
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:Leisure club Assistant Duties:
  1. To be involved in the achievement of club and hotel targets.
  2. To regularly liaise with colleagues to ensure good working relationship.
  3. Pool maintenance including backwashing and cleaning.
  4. Ensure the Club facilities are kept to the highest possible standard through check list and cleaning.
  5. Attend and be actively involved in regular monthly Team meetings.
  6. Regularly check Club maintenance and report any faults.
  7. To ensure the Club achieves and maintains a high standard of customer Service.
  8. Actively involved in Club events.
  9. Ensure floats are counted and balanced at start and end of shift and they are secure at all times. Blind Banking procedures are followed along with all local and Marriott policies and procedures.Leisure Membership Advisor Duties:
  10. To deal with all membership enquires in a professional manner.
  11. Proactively seek new sales leads from existing database of prospects and member referrals
  1. Perform membership sales functions, ie admin and Daily Records within the club.
  2. To identify and chase prospective Corporate Membership and liaise with current corporate accounts to add new members.
  3. To contact prospective members, valid contact includes Telephone Enquiries, walk-ins, appointments, be backs ,and follow up calls.
  1. Convert as many Telephone enquiries as possible in to appointments.
  2. Ensure you meet all goals and targets specified on a daily and monthly basis.
  1. Complete membership agreement forms thoroughly and clearly as per audit specification.
  2. Discuss the benefits with every new member. Up selling every aspect of the club and driving secondary revenue.
  3. Maintain all daily and monthly reports relating to membership sales
  1. Develop a good working knowledge of the corporate and individual databases and to maintain the database effectively.
  1. Formulate good marketing/advertising and promotional ideas.
  2. Ensure all promotions are conducted efficiently.
  1. Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions at suitable events, areas and times of the monthOTHER
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
