What we need:
We’re known for the high quality of our holiday entertainment and we’re looking for the right person to join our organisation as an Entertainment Manager at our flagship North Wales based holiday park. You will lead the team that puts on the shows and fun activities that keep our guests coming back for more.
Background:
Our guests come to our parks to experience a world away from their day-to-day life. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.
As Entertainment Manager you will be on the front line of delivering delight to our guests by making sure our stage shows, activities and other exciting entertainments are properly manged and organised. Entertainment activity takes place in three primary indoor venues including a family show bar, adults cabaret lounge and sports bar. The role of Entertainment Manager at our flagship park means you will also support our smaller satellite parks with their own smaller Entertainment Team.
The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing:
Working as the leader of our Entertainment Team, you will bring your personality and enthusiasm in the running of our entertainments program, including:
- Recruit and train up to 6 Entertainment Team members for the 2019 season commencing 1 March.
- Organising and helping to safely deliver our program of activities for children and adults
- Maintaining the equipment for our activities, including keeping it charged, cleaned and safely stored
- Looking after our Characters and Puppets and making sure they are maintained and stored properly
- Compering events and hosting daytime and evening entertainment including bingo, children’s shows, quizzes and other events
- Attending regular management meetings
- Overseeing visiting cabaret acts
And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. As long as you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be organised and have good leadership skills
- Have great communication skills
- Have experience of working with children
- Have the confidence and personality to compere shows
- Be engaging, happy and enthusiastic - able to make every guest feel special
- Experience of leading fun, action-packed activities
- Experience of working at a holiday park
Want to join our team? Here’s how to apply
Apply by sending us a CV detailing previous experience along with a 2-3 minute video introduction or showreel to benwilliams@lyonsholidayparks.co.uk.
Good Luck!
