The hotel is one of several smart addresses on a UNESCO World Heritage site comprising seven, inter-connecting townhouses, as well as a purpose-built block of bedrooms. In addition to 199 guest rooms and suites, the hotel has refurbished dining and event space; The SPA at Principal, utilising both Oskia and Ishga brands; The Garden, a glazed courtyard serving a light menu of all-day food, afternoon tea and evening cocktails; and Baba, a Levantine-influenced restaurant.

Your day to day

Day-to-Day • Responsible for the efficient running of the daily reception and everything else operation • Support the Guest Services Supervisors in leading the team • Provide a warm welcome to all guests visiting the hotel, both in house and non-residents • Maintain a warm and friendly manner with each interaction, whilst ensuring efficiency during busy check in and check out periods • Lead by example in developing a service that surprises and delights • Work closely with the rooms controller with the daily operation including allocation of rooms, room moves, early arrivals, group allocations • Ensuring a fond farewell is given to each guest upon departure, offering mints and water for their journey • Understand selling strategies and being fully aware of promotions • Ensure you have exceptional knowledge of the local area, and competitor hotels and what is going on within the city at any time • Cover the Night manager/Assistant night manager role if necessary • Support the Reception Manager in attending and following up on meetings including credit meeting, operations meeting, and rooms meeting
