Opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art football stadium.

About the Role

Although you will be based at Mill Farm Stadium, as the Business Development Manager you will be expected to take a pro-active role in sales by visiting local business and building relationships with key influencers in the area.

It will be your responsibility to manage all enquiries from start to finish. You will need to work closely with all key stakeholders to maximise opportunities for all areas of the business.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Sales

  • Be responsible for driving all conference and event sales revenue.
  • Provide a daily update on your sales activity using the appropriate forms.
  • Keep a detailed record of all customers both existing and prospective using the company CRM system.

General

  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Regularly review and update Company procedures, with the agreement of the Managing Director.
  • Handle and deal with any and all customer complaints within your area of responsibility personally and promptly.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Group Chairman and Manging Director.
  • Work with other managers to complete a monthly operational schedule.
  • Attend the weekly Food & Beverage meeting.

Event Management

Once an event is booked it is your responsibility to ensure all paperwork is completed and correct. This will include but not be limited to:-

  • Getting the Purchase Order signed in full.
  • Invoicing the customer and taking the required deposit.
  • Ensure payment of balance in full 30 days in advance of the event (60 days for weddings).
  • Producing an Event Profit Evaluation for each event.

Staff Management

  • Responsible for helping recruit, train and manage all staff within your area of responsibility.
  • Help set and monitor quality and service standards within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all staff comply with the company ‘Grooming Policy’.
  • Ensure all holiday requests follow the approved process.

Health & Safety

  • Work closely with the Managing Director in maintaining the procedures as laid out in the Health and Safety Policy.

About You

  • At least two years’ experience events and conferencing sales experience.
  • Hold a driving licence valid in the UK.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Natural rapport builder.
  • Excellent time management skills.
