Job SummaryAs a Housekeeping Supervisor you will be responsible for inspecting guest rooms andpublic areas after being cleaned by theHousekeeping teamto ensure the Marriott quality standards are met. You will be responsible for running sold room reports, verifying room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms. You will also have to assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities. You will have to act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. You will be a go to point for documenting and resolving issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk department. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets/workboards. As a supervisor within the Housekeeping team you will need to communicate issues to the next shift ensuring all associates have the correct information. Complete required paperwork and assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. You will also have to assist Housekeepers with daily cleaning duties in order to meet targets to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
