Sales & Events Executive - New Opening! - London
IMMEDIATE START | FULL-TIME 40 HOURS PER WEEK | COMPETITIVE SALARY | GREAT BENEFITS
We are looking for a super enthusiastic Events person to join our small team in the capacity of a Sales & Events Executive to be part of our opening team at Vintry & Mercer to open early 2019.

The Role
- Responsible for selling and planning of events in the hotel, ensuring financial targets are achieved while ensuring our clients have an excellent event experience
- Proactively handle all event enquiries within 24 hours of receiving an enquiry, ensure leads are qualified and proposals sent are followed up on
- Conduct client site inspections and occasional evening or weekend entertainment as required
- Ensure Opera and other systems are updated with all relevant client information
- Maintain the booking system and third party websites
- Ensure meticulous planning of each client event
- Effectively communicate and work closely with the operations team to ensure a smooth handover of information. Communicate last minute changes regarding events and ensure final payment arrangements have been agreed and deposits taken in accordance to the hotels contracting policy
- There will be an element of proactivity in this role as we grow the business this will include identifying and building strong relationships with 3rd party agencies, direct clients, and online event distribution platforms
- Maintain stationery, brochures, sales kits and all store items to an agreed par stock
- To be flexible to carry out other duties and assignments as requested by the Sales & Marketing Director.
Personal/Professional Specs:
- Previous experience in a similar role gained in a 4/5* environment is essential
- Contagious personality, energetic & enthusiastic
- Confident but humble
- Own & deliver mentality
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Able to work within a team and on own initiative (A Self Starter)
