Night Manager - Tigerlily

Tigerlily is the Capital’s most talked-about boutique hotel, bar and restaurant. 

A stylish and contemporary award-winning bar and restaurant with infamous cocktail menu (with over 150 concoctions) and moreish seasonal menus, and come the weekend we become one of the liveliest venues in the capital. Our beautiful Georgian building houses 33 stylish suites and bedrooms, effortlessly marrying contemporary style with original features.

Situated on Edinburgh’s George Street, Tigerlily boasts a central location close to the city’s key attractions.

Our newest venue Rabble is a rough-luxe taphouse and grill with rooms has recently opened following a full refurbishment.  Home to Edinburgh’s first low and slow taphouse where locally sourced, quality produce is given the love and attention it deserves.  With 10 effortlessly hip and comfortable boutique bedrooms – a relaxed, urban base ideal for business, pleasure and those looking to enjoy everything that Edinburgh has to offer.  Situated on Fredrick Street in the heart of Edinburgh, Rabble is the place to go.

The Position

We are looking for a talented night manger to join our team in a split role between Tigerlily and Rabble

Skilled in night audit processes, this is an operational position, enhancing the guest experience and ensuring the health and safety of guests and colleagues are maintained.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong decision making and team work whilst having the upmost attention to detail able to multi-task;

Night Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the smooth running of the hotel at night
  • Complete Night Audit duties
  • Health & Safety Checks
  • Assist with Front Office operations such as check ins and check outs
  • Handle customer queries and complaints
  • Handover to the early staff
  • Set up restaurant for breakfast service
  • Order and deliver guest newspapers
  • Supervise the cleaning team
  • Ensuring bar/restaurant and hotel are immaculately presented

Night Manager Skill Requirements:

  • Experience as Night Manager in a quality hotel
  • Strong leadership skill, can work to own initiative, willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibility as necessary
  • A friendly and approachable manner
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry
  • Computer literate
  • Previous experience with Opera PMS system is preferable, however full training will be provided
  • Fluent in English

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience 

Holidays: 28 days holiday per annum
