As Demi Chef de Partie Pastry you will be responsible for managing an allocated area within the Galley operation to provide an efficient, smooth operation to ensure the guests and crew have a fantastic culinary experience in our restaurants.

As Demi Chef de Partie Pastry you responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all staff comply with relevant Company standards and procedures, with the aim of providing the Company desired service product

  • providing professionally prepared quality food product within budget and in line with the Menu Cycle

  • Reporting into the Chef Pattissier

  • Complying with all legal, safety, hygiene and administration procedures as well as HR and HS&E policies.

  • The opportunity of working with our celebrity chefs; Marco Pierre White & Atul Kucher

 

Ideally, for this role you will hold an NVQ level 4 in Food production or equivalent. Experience of providing consistent quality assurance on a large scale would be advantageous. If you have experience of working on cruise ship Galley or a high end restaurant kitchen it would be a bonus. However, the above are not essential. We believe in hiring people with the right attitudes and strengths over their competencies!

 

As Demi Chef de Partie Pastry you will be expected to work towards the Future Menu Cycle plan so if you are the type of person who is good at anticipating work needs this may be the role for you. In addition we would love it if you were a natural team player and energised by working with others. As part of this role you will have to liaise with other members of your team, therefore your ability to express yourself clearly and keeping others in the loop will ensure that you produce consistent, high quality products. If you feel you are naturally adaptable to changing circumstances, with great initiative this may be the job for you.

Please note that a Personal Survival Techniques (PST) STCW course is required for this role.
