Gym Assistant (Casual) | Oak Tree Leisure Centre

Location: Mansfield, NG18 3RT

Working Hours: Casual Hours

Salary: £9.32 to £9.68

We are currently recruiting for a Casual Gym Assistant to work between Monday to Sunday as and when required.

As part of Mansfield District Lesiure Trust, Oak Tree Leisure Centre offers a wide range of facilities and activities, from gym memberships and badminton, to trampolining and gymnastics for children. And we've got a creché!

Key Purpose:

The role of the Gym Assistant is to provide inspiring fitness coaching to customers and to provide advice, guidance and programming to customers on all aspects of exercise and related subjects
 
Key Responsibilities:

Provide clean, safe, warm, friendly facilities.
- Provide safe, appropriate, fun and results focussed fitness coaching to customers.
- Conduct customer inductions and fitness assessments.
- Support and guide customers to set SMART exercise goals.
- Maintain a full product knowledge of the services available at the centre and advise customers     accordingly.
- Contribute to planning and marketing strategies.
- Supervise all customers to ensure the correct use of fitness training equipment

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Excellent product knowledge and experience
- High quality customer service and communication skills
- The ability to empathise and work with customers of all age groups and levels of ability.
- Health and safety training and awareness
- Some planning, marketing and sales promotional skills.
- A high standard of personal fitness and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle
 -Gym Assistants will possess a recognised qualification that allows entry at REPS Level 2 and be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge of exercise Instruction and coaching, exercise programming, needs analysis and Health & safety in fitness instruction suitable to the position.
