We are the largest privately-held pub operator in the UK and we’re looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team at Stonegate.

Located adjacent to the Teesside University area, Southfields has a prominent position on the Uni campus that is iconic in the life of Teesside students. The leading bar for socialising and sports it is utilised as an all-day venue. The business is multi-faceted so needs a leader who thrives upon leading the way with attracting new clientele whilst ensuring all guests have a memorable experience. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of running a business that has similar splits for food sales and wet. The Southfields is a flagship Common Room with a major investment due in Jan 2019 for the new CR version 3.0 and the manager will have a fantastic opportunity to take this business to the next level.

Southfields is a 1 floor operation with an outside garden area that is extensive and benefits from the sunshine.

Sky sports are a key feature as is the innovation that the site has with new food offers, craft beer & engaging reasons to visit, from a local and national perspective. This is a fantastic business which attracts predominately students but is a mainstay on the weekend circuit as well. Saturday has a mixture of students and locals. The sales are well mixed across the whole week with opportunity for further growth in all day parts.

Applications from managers with a passion for providing the best in guest experiences and can demonstrate positive sales growth activity.

Food experience and delivery of consistent high standards and service is essential. Ideally you will have come from a similar type business and be sales focused with a passion for building a great team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person.

You will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
