About the role:

The Pricing and Promotions team play a key role in helping Asda drive
price leadership, ensuring that we optimise our investments in to areas
that drive the best returns, by delivering market leading value for our
customers, and driving improvement in customer price perception.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Price Reporting & Capability, you
will take ownership of the weekly reporting which is delivered across
the business from the Executive team down. You will also support in
building new, best in class reporting and analytical capability to help
the delivery of the overall pricing programme and business priorities/
vision.

The ins and outs:

As Pricing Analyst Lead, you will ensure pricing data and insight is at
the forefront of decision making, influencing thinking and helping to
influence change. The role will be responsible for working closely with
the Commercial teams as well as the Pricing Strategy & Activation team
to ensure they have access to robust, accurate and timely reporting to
help drive the Pricing programme.

You will:
•Produce and take ownership of the weekly price reporting
•Ensure adequate QC/ reconciliations are in place to maintain the
integrity and robustness of pricing data
•Improve processes to ensure data and reporting is created and
distributed in an efficient manner including leading on step changing
reporting capability using data visualisation tools
•Responsible for continuously driving the competitiveness, integrity
and simplicity of our pricing
•Support the Commercial teams to deliver against the pricing targets
and principles by establishing a robust, customer-focused, data-led
approach to governance and review
•Supporting in the development of frameworks and analytics to answer
key pricing questions and challenges, and provide the Commercial
function with direction on opportunities and risks
•Build strong, collaborative relationships across key stakeholder
groups e.g. Commercial, Retail; partnering with the Own Brand &
Commercial teams to become a trusted advisor for Own Brand pricing
decisions

What you’ll need:

Experience within an Analytical, Commercial or similar role is
essential, along with experience of turning complex data into simple
and actionable outputs. You will possess:

•Demonstrate good analytical/ numeracy skills, ideally with experience
in a data analysis role
•Experience with data and visualisation tools including SQL, Tableau,
Power BI, VBA and Excel
•Good communication skills with a willingness to challenge the norm and
able to work collaboratively with a number of business stakeholders
•Tenacity to thrive in a fast paced, challenging environment and adapt
to a changing priorities
•Good understanding of retail data and commercial inputs and outputs
•Ideally be educated to degree level in numerical or analytical subject
