An amazing opportunity has arisen due to a new site acquisition for a Kitchen Manager at Biggleswade.


A little bit about the pub…
This will be the 14th Chicken & Grill Pub, a new acquisition, to open in November 2018, this is now a key business within McMullen’s fastest growing and most exciting concept. The site is situated next to a very large housing development that is continuing to expand over the next few years There are to be +134 dining covers inside, large bar area, in addition to the +100 outside seats. Food will account for +60% of sales. The Chicken & Grill menu is operated alongside daily specials, food events are always supported and are popular. All specials are from the C&G dish bank, into which all ideas and contributions are welcome.

As with all Chicken & Grill Pubs, there’s something for everyone. You’ll find office workers from the local trading estate during mid-week lunch times, families & couples dining in the evenings and weekends, tradesmen enjoying a hard-earned after work pint and retired folk enjoying a catch up.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • The ability to cook and present dishes, in line with specification, in a fast paced environment.
  • The capability to deliver food GP% to budget.
  • Experience in stocktaking and management of stock control.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exemplary standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
  • The ability to recruit, train and coach junior team members.
  • A strong understanding of food health and safety.
