Built as the headquarters for the Refuge Assurance Company in 1895 and extended in 1912, The Principal Manchester - as it's now known - is part and parcel of Manchester and its renewed status as the "Northern Powerhouse". Your day to day

As a Payroll clerk, your main focus will be on providing the accurate and timely processing of employee (400 plus) Payroll which will include starters/leavers, all statutory payments (SMP/SPP, SSP etc.), and all third party payments such as court orders etc. You will also process any additional payments including bonuses, back pay, salary increases, first aid payments etc.

What we need from you

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate payroll processing experience. You will also need excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. A strong numerical ability and an understanding of statutory payments and payroll legislation are essential.
